Jesse is an award winning filmmaker and a vegetarian. Born and raised in Queens, NY he swam across the East River to attend NYU Tisch School of the Arts where he graduated Suppa Duppa Summa Cum Laude.
He most recently won a Webby award for his animated short "Magical Cure" which also won grand prize in Stand Up 2 Cancer's Film Challenge. The short is based on his true to life story about losing his father and aunt to cancer.
His short films "Icebox Blues" and "Breathe Easy" have been screened at the Rubin Museum of Art. "Icebox" also opened for Hitchcock's "To Catch A Thief" at the Brooklyn Bridge Park "Movies with A View" summer film series in July.
In April 2008 he directed the Tribeca Talks series at the Tribeca Film Festival, featuring Robert Deniro, Chaz Palminteri, Mike Figgis, Melvin Van Peebles, and numerous other industry notables.
Formerly with Zoomari Films, Jesse worked on numerous projects for a wide array of clients and musicians including A&E, Amp Fiddler, Beyonce, CleanSkies TV, ESPN, First Line Media, Jimmy Buffett, P.Diddy, Tribeca Film Festival, and Loreena McKennit who's dvd documentary he associate produced.
He has also worked on projects with film luminaries Scott Rudin (winner of the Academy Award for No Country for Old Men) and Spike Lee. His short film "Cardiac Arrest", an official selection of LA Shorts Fest, has screened coast to coast, and was most recently featured on PBS' Reel Shorts. Jesse is currently in development on numerous projects that will hopefully inspire change in the world.
