To be honest, I never really thought too much about Wales, but when we were asked to screen two of our shorts during Wales Week in NYC, I scrambled to learn more. And from what I have consequently learned, I have decided Wales is worthy of some more attention.
The event was held at the Rubin Museum of Art, and while there were some great speeches on Sustainability and Green Building Design, delicious organic food and booze, the highlight of the night was definitely, hands down, seeing a live performance of Only Men Aloud, winners of the BBC’s Last Choir Standing. Hearing a bunch of dudes wearing shiny purple dress shirts sing their rendition of All By Myself, was absolutely surreal, awkward, but still kind of awesome.
